Jamie Stevenson Trophy 2007 - 2nd September at Faskally, Pitlochry
A team of 14 INVOC juniors headed for Pitlochry on 2nd September for the Jamie Stevenson Trophy, Scotland's annual inter-club team competition for juniors - plus a few supporters! This year we improved to finish 5th from 13 clubs taking part, and only 1 point behind 4th place.
Results: The unusual scoring system takes the top 6 scorers in each team, based on position in class, for the club total. Rosalind placed 1st on the Girls' Light Green, and we added 5th places for Joanna (Girls' Green), Scott (Boys' Orange) and Andrew (Boys' Light Green). INVOC's other scorers were Ailsa (6th Girls' Yellow) and either Jessamy (7th Girls' Yellow) or Rory (also 7th, Boys' Light Green). Well done to them, and to all the rest of the team too!
Jamie Stevenson Trophy 2006 - 3rd September at Kinnoul Hill, Perth
A great turn out with 15 'Team INVOC' juniors looking extra smart in their new club suits and caps! The area was tricky with many confusing paths and our relatively inexperienced team did well to finish 7th out of 12 clubs taking part. The pre-race parade and after-run barbecue added to the fun at the event.
Results: Joanna was a close 3rd on Girls' Light Green in a group of Scotland's top W14s, and Alastair placed 3rd on the Boys' Green behind the Tullie brothers, established internationals at M18/20. INVOC's other scorers were Rosalind (5th Girls' Light Green), Sam (11th Boys' Orange), Niall (15th Boys' Yellow) and Heather (17th Girls' Yellow).
